The Kids Table at United Bakers

Grandkids and grandparents only. Parents, go back to bed.

Sunday, November 15, 8:00 to 10:00am
United Bakers, 506 Lawrence Ave W, Toronto

Your grandparents went to United Bakers as kids. Then they took your parents. Then your parents took you, and you complained the whole time. Now it’s the grandkids’ turn, and the people who started all of this get to bring them.

United Bakers has been open since 1912. It has survived two world wars and a move to North York. It will survive your children.

Grandma, Grandpa, Nana, Papa, Nonna, Nonno, Oma, Opa, Lola, Lolo, Bubbie, Zaidie, Gigi, Pop, or whatever your family calls the one with a mint in their pocket: this one’s for them. Parents aren’t invited. It’s not personal. It’s the point.

The kids get a real table with real service, and we shoot the whole morning on film and digital, so you’ll finally have proof Grandpa has ordered the same thing since 1974. It’s going to be wild.

Menu
Bagels, cream cheese, lox, tuna, Israeli salad, veggies, fruit salad, mini pancakes, latkes, scrambled eggs, mac and cheese and mini cookies. Nobody has to eat the vegetables.
